School Fees for Bright Students
Help support 15 bright students from Mathare slums complete their secondary education. These students have excellent academic performance, but their families simply cannot afford to keep them in school.
Despite growing up in one of the toughest environments in Nairobi surrounded by poverty, crime, and lack of opportunity these students have excelled in their primary school exams. They have big dreams and the potential to achieve them, but financial hardship stands in their way.
The Challenge
In Kenya, public secondary education still comes with expenses like.
- School fees & tuition gaps
- Uniforms, shoes, and school bags
- Books, pens, and stationery
- Meals, transport, and boarding (for some)
For families living in Mathare, where most survive on less than KES 200 per day, these costs are impossible to cover. Without immediate support, these brilliant students may drop out and lose the opportunity to change their lives.
Meet the Students
These 15 students were among the top performers in their KCPE exams. They are motivated, hardworking, and determined to succeed — if only given the chance.
- I want to become a doctor so I can treat people in my community.
- I dream of becoming an engineer to build better homes in Mathare.
- My education is my only hope. I will not waste it.
Our Goal
We are raising KES 900,000 (about $6,750) to cover:
- Tuition fees for one year
- Uniforms & school supplies
- Meals and transport
- Mentorship & academic support
This amount will fully support all 15 students for a full academic year.
